Career Advice to College Grads: When Expectation Meets Reality

In this episode of Let's Talk Jobs, Elizabeth Engele and I reflect on our college grad-to-career experience. Our careers started off very different. Whereas I graduated high school with high distinction which built up high expectations, I struggled my way through college. And then I graduated during the 2001 dot com bubble burst where I couldn't land a job to save my life. Elizabeth not only had a successful college career, but the first job she landed was at LinkedIn, one of the top companies to work for. But after that point she started to encounter challenges that made her think about and approach things differently. In this episode we talk about how expectations met reality, and how our careers grew from there.
