In this episode of “Let’s Talk About Climate”, our Change the Chamber fellow Alexandra Xochil Gonzalez-Edgar (she/her) sits down and talks with Jennifer Cardenas (she/ella), a national campaign and grassroots organizer within the green non-profit sphere. Jennifer lives in Southern California’s Inland Empire, specifically Fontana.
In this episode we talked to Jennifer about the lived life experiences of frontline communities, which are communities that experience the most immediate and worst impacts of climate change and are most often communities of color, Indigenous, and low-income. Not only is Jennifer a person of rich and vast life experience, but she has also dedicated herself to working within social impact efforts, specifically working in the intersections of climate change efforts as an organizing representative for a national nonprofit organization.
