Human trafficking is an urgent and often poorly recognized issue around the world. From labor trafficking to sex trafficking, it's a problem that knows no borders. But how can we identify it? As an advocate for victims of human trafficking, I can say that awareness and education go a long way. Knowing what to look for—such as signs of abuse, exploitation, or coercion—can lead to early intervention and save lives. And thankfully, there are resources available on the local, national, and international levels to help victims and survivors get the assistance and support they need to break free and rebuild their lives. Through collaborative efforts and a long-term approach, we can eradicate human trafficking together.
