He’s a former Australian Production Car Champion, V8 Supercar Privateer Series winner, and has made 13 consecutive starts at the Nürburgring 24 Hour, including five with Aston Martin Racing. Mal has also claimed class wins at Spa, Dubai, Malaysia, and Bathurst.

Beyond driving, Mal is a skilled mechanic and car builder who has prepared everything from Subaru STis to Nissan GTRs, Aston Martins, and even race trucks. In this chat, he shares stories from the pit to the podium — including the time he raced against F1 engineering mastermind Adrian Newey.
