John ‘Stonie’ Stoneham is one of Australia’s most recognisable cartoonists, certainly within the motor racing fraternity.

He was the resident cartoonist at Australia’s weekly motor sport magazine ‘Auto Action’’ for more than 40 years until it closed several years ago, and also for the Murdoch Newspapers afternoon Adelaide News for a time.

He loves motor sport and has been involved as a competitor as well as behind the scenes assisting with PR and event organisation. 

I’ve known him for many years, and he is without doubt one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. He’s knowledgeable and never stops laughing which can be very infectious.
