From Aid to Agency: Africa's Journey to Self-Reliant Prosperity (Part 1)

It took me a while, but I finally got to it. ✍️

I have been in a unique space of introspection over the last few days since the new year. I have a philosophy that has driven me for quite a while: "Africa MUST change the way it tackles Poverty".

On the one hand, I am utterly devastated by the chaos the "USAID freeze" has caused in many lives. On the other hand, it has also provided a clear impetus for why self-reliance for the global south is yesterday's issue!

So I took a moment and took a somewhat deep dive into all the conversations around the chaos. I wrote a simple piece exploring how Africa can break free from aid dependency and embrace a future powered by local innovation and impact investment.
