This week we talk to Amunga Eshuchi, 2016 Commonwealth Photographer of the year and regional winner for Africa. Amunga’s heart is drawn to conservation and documentary photography.
We talked about what it takes to re-define the image of Africa through photography, as well as his own struggles in protecting the dignity of those whose lives he captures, and the challenges of navigating the realities of the conservation and the development world, fighting the "development porn" narratives.
