By the next evening, both Nikki and Adrienne were found strangled—Nikki also the victim of a violent sexual assault—while her infant son, Marcus, was left alive amidst the horror.
With no signs of forced entry or robbery, suspicion initially fell on Adrienne’s father, the last person to see them alive, but he was eventually cleared. Decades later, partial DNA evidence has given investigators hope, even pointing toward someone they believe they “know,” but the killer’s name remains just out of reach.
