And while there are many reasons for the disappearances, it seems that some are more mysterious than others. Enter: Missing 411. This conspiracy posits that there may be a paranormal reason for many of the disappearances in the U.S., especially in the wilderness and national parks. Are cryptids snatching children from their campsites? Or are hikers falling through vortexes? Or is it just the human impulse to try to explain the unexplainable?
