Sabre Series - Episode #1
I wanted to do a series to get to know all of the great instructors and owners of the Sabre Jiu Jitsu Family. This is where my journey has started and continues to grow through amazing people on the mat. I remember the first time I made contact with him was when I asked if he wanted to rock one of my shirts from a clothing line I was trying to create called Dead to Sin. Not knowing me , he accepted the shirt and you can still see those on some of his gi's today. May not seem much to a random person, but that little contact at the time was a reason why I wanted to learn jiu jitsu under the Sabre name. Through that small interaction and all the many interactions on the mat for the past 3 years gave me a chance to observe a guy that puts others first. He has provided a sanctuary for many to build themselves up with confidence in the art of grappling. Even though Sabre is a Jiu Jitsu academy, Professor Bryant is very adamant that everyone learn the different styles of grappling that Sabre provides.(ie...Wrestling and Judo). On top of that he has built an amazing kids program that gets huge help from his Nephew, who you will find out about in the interview. I encourage anyone who is ever in the Concord, CA area, to stop by and see and feel the positive vibes that radiate in this academy and its family.
