Ella no habla inglés.

“Abuela, estoy aprendiendo tu idioma.

A Voice Memo for Grandma

In my house, content doesn’t start with a camera.

It starts with a conversation.

One time, I recorded a voice memo talking with my wife about my life, my work, and my desire to speak with her grandmother.

She doesn’t speak English.

But I want her to know my story.

I want her to know that even though I wasn’t born speaking Spanish, I was born with love for her family.

I want to tell her how faith taught me to see content not as strategy, but as service.

I want her to understand why I use my mic to build trust—not just go viral.

I want her to hear me say:

“Abuela, I’m learning your language.

Not out of obligation.

Out of love.”

It wasn’t a LinkedIn post.

It wasn’t part of a marketing campaign.

It was just me, my journal, and an honest voice memo.

Because before I was a creator,

I was her grandson.
