Allison Baldwin and Ilene Mitnick are Founders of The Zest Zone, a Life Design practice in St Petersburg, FL. They call themselves Curators of the Good Life — and, they’re obsessed with showing others how to live, work and play with more joy and vitality with a focus on personal health. They’re on a mission to show others how to step into their power and reclaim what matters most and they do it through Joy Coaching often starting right in the kitchen and behind the bar! When they learned they could elevate their food and drinks with high quality, pure essential oils AND elevate their mood and health, it was a win win. They infuse fun, learning and high vibes as they showcase recipes — including tastings — during an interactive event called KITCHEN LAB where participants leave empowered to add a dose of flavor and a dash of health benefits to their own creations.
As former owners of Roux Provincetown, a Bed and Breakfast in Provincetown, MA, they spent more than a little time thinking of meaningful ways to enhance the vibe. After Boston Magazine’s Best of issue named them Best Inn on Cape Cod two years in a row, they wanted to keep things fresh by debuting a special amenity. And, since the very fundamentals of hospitality are to provide “a good night’s sleep; a relaxing atmosphere and great food and drink to go with it," introducing safe and pure essential oils into the mix was the way to go. From diffusing a gorgeous aroma into the air to mixing up boozy or spirit-free drinks & preparing meals with any of the 30 culinary oils to a travel-inspired Pillow Menu where guests could choose their own sensory story, using aromatics completely transformed the vacation experience.
