Learning 3.0 with David James

This is a ‘bonkers’ episode with another Cracker Jack L&D personality, David James. David is the host of the Learning and Development Podcast, where he has been hosting other L&D thought leaders since 2019.

If you are an HR and Capability Leader who wants to understand the wider economic environment and what that means for business, learning teams and technology in these times, then this is the episode for you! An absolute treat of what Learning 3.0 is all about.

David has worked in People Development for more than 20 years, most notably as Director of Talent, Learning & OD for The Walt Disney Company across Europe, the Middle East & Africa.

He now specialises in contemporary L&D practices and work with clients to develop and implement their digital learning strategies – which encompass face-to-face as well as online – whilst equipping L&D teams with trusted methodologies and practical digital skills.

As well as being the Chief Learning Strategist at Looop, David writes articles and speak about L&D at conferences and events; He is a member of the CIPD L&D Advisory Board; and teach on the CIPD Level 5 Digital & Blended Learning programme.

You may need to listen to this episode more than once to absorb all of the value David offers!

In this episode we discuss:

  • Letting data drive your decision and focussing on problems not solutions
  • Being a leader and saying ‘yes’ to training (already presold) training orders and then leading your team down the path of performance solutions in the flow of work.
