Spam is an unwanted, undesired, or irrelevant message received from any source and sent to many recipients. Email spam is what most people think of when they think of spam, but there are other types. Spam can be in the form of a comment on a blog, a post in a discussion group, and text spam. Think of spam as the electronic equivalent of telephone solicitations or junk mail.
