When satellite was launched more than 50 years ago, no one new how much impact it would have in all aspects of our lives. There are various input factors that affect the farming which includes use of nitrogen based fertilisers, irrigation and adverse climatic conditions. The farmers face the challenges to quickly adapt to these changing conditions which in turn leads to over use of certain resources having adverse affect on the climate. Is there a way by which we can monitor the plant and soil health to adapt the inputs for farming?
Join me in the conversation with Robert Schmitt, founder and CEO of Vultus where he talks about his journey of becoming entrepreneur and their innovative solution. Vultus uses satellite data to make precision farming tools for the farmers through which they can reduce nitrogen fertiliser use by 1/3rd and increase crop yields.
