Ep. 69: Productivity Confessions

Today I am getting real with y'all about those seasons when productivity just isn't happening the way we want it to. I shared my own experience this past week of needing to reset after traveling + 3 unexpected snow days for the kids and how it affected my routines, energy, and mindset.

What I want you to remember:

- There's a big difference between being a productive person and trying to be productive every single moment

- We need to understand the difference between needed rest and "the bread of idleness"

- When one habit slips (usually sleep or nutrition for me), it can create a domino effect

- It's so important to recognize when we need a reset and not beat ourselves up about it

Here are the strategies I've learned for resetting:

1. Pay attention to early warning signs:

- Physical symptoms (fatigue, digestive issues)

- Mental fog

- Emotional sensitivity

- Increased mom guilt

2. Focus on the foundation first:

- Start with sleep (nothing works well without this!)

- Get back to basics with nutrition

- Include gentle movement like walking

- Make time for prayer and Bible reading

3. Get perspective from people who know you well

4. Trust God's timing and remember - this is His work, not just yours

Something that's really helped me when I need a complete reset, especially with nutrition, is doing a structured 3-day Reset that helps clear the mental fog and restore my energy. See what that's all about here!

If you wanna know more about that, I'd love to share details with you! Just pick a platform and shoot me a message!

Biblical truth I'm holding onto: "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." When everything feels too heavy, it's usually because I'm striving in my own strength instead of abiding in His. 🤍

Remember mama - productivity isn't about perfection, it's about faithfulness. You're doing better than you feel like you are. ♥️
