Have you ever visited an art gallery?

I vividly remember standing in front of Van Gogh's Sunflowers at the National Gallery in London in 2004. That moment has stayed with me ever since.

I recall my emotional response, shifting from sadness to joy.

⠀

I remember my cognitive reaction—how my brain was working to interpret the painting, building connections and sparking ideas that extended far beyond the artwork itself, building from details, light and shadows, to a big picture view.

I also felt a psychological resonance, as the painting evoked memories of my hometown of Dnipro, Ukraine, surrounded by vast fields of sunflowers.

And finally, I experienced a deep connection to the artwork and to humanity, just by being in its presence
