This 4-part series comes from an interview I had the honor of conducting with a lady named Annie Johnson, born in Granada, Mississippi 1949. Growing up she was a sharecropper's daughter and here she tells me what happened back in the day.
Annie's strength and judgement of what was right and wrong struck me, and with Annie's consent, I'm thrilled that the world will hear these stories today. Listen as Annie generously shares memories from her childhood back in the late 50's, early 60's, the struggles she and her family overcame to survive, and how Annie asks the question 'When DID slavery end?'
