Lauren & Hardy
Hardy Cognac
9 episodes

She wanted mixology trends. She got a spirit with a cognac obsession.

Welcome to Lauren & Hardy, a fictional comedy podcast that follows Lauren Duplessis, a struggling mixologist and Brooklyn-based podcaster, who accidentally teams up with a very enthusiastic (and possibly undead) 19th-century British gentleman: Anthony Hardy, founder of the historic Maison Hardy Cognac.

Together, they dive into the wild, weird, and surprisingly dramatic world of cognac history, French terroir, family legacies, and legendary spirits—all told through witty banter and a soundscape so rich you can practically smell the oak barrels.

From medieval nightmares and phylloxera plagues to secret cellars and Suffragette cocktails, Lauren & Hardy blends humor, history, heritage, and high-proof storytelling in a bold and flavorful audio experience.

Expect:

  • Time-traveling humor, rich historical lore and vice versa!
  • Behind-the-bar stories from Cognac’s vineyards, cellars, and secret histories
  • Cocktail recipes, tasting notes, and culture shocks
  • A one-of-a-kind host who learns about rap, despises aphids, and eventually brings a live rooster into the studio

Whether you’re a cognac lover, a history enthusiast, or just here for the laughs, Lauren & Hardy invites you to listen and enjoy your way through a spirited odyssey unlike any other. New episodes weekly. Honestly, history never tasted this good.

5/8 · Where Anthony Discovers That Cognac Has Changed A Lot Since 1863…

🍬 Skittles-infused vodka, the Suffragette cocktail, and fly-fishing with Jacques Hardy.

Anthony tries to adapt to the modern drinking world—and it’s not going well. From sugar highs to feminist revelations, this episode blends old-school elegance with new-wave mixology. Plus, a river pebble-shaped cognac bottle designed for fishing trips (true story).

Tradition meets transformation in the most unexpected (and hilarious) ways. Raise a glass to change—and to the Hardy women who made it happen!
