Larry Kreider is joined by Kim Zimmerman and her daughter, Meagan Keller, to discuss their new book, The Unbroken Spirit: Navigating Trauma Without Losing Your Passion for God. Reach out to a trusted individual or a professional for support and be open and honest in your communication with God. If someone you care about is going through trauma, support them practically and proactively without waiting for them to request assistance. While grieving, they may not be aware of their needs or may feel guilty about asking for help. You don’t have to feel empathy for a person in order to choose to forgive them. Navigating trauma is ongoing, but Jesus brings peace and healing in the journey. God can use these life experiences as a sword in our hand to help others.
