Las Rimas de Bécquer constituyen la más depurada expresión poética del tardío romanticismo español. Por otra parte, el clima sombrío, fantasmagórico y misterioso que Becquer logró crear en sus Leyendas es inigualable. Por encima del tiempo de las modas efímeras, muchos poemas de este autor forman parte ya de la memoria colectiva de un pueblo.
The Bécquer Rhymes are the most refined poetic expression of the late Spanish Romanticism. On the other hand, the gloomy, ghostly and mysterious climate that Becquer managed to create in his Legends is unmatched. Beyond the time of the ephemeral fashions, many poems by this author are already part of the collective memory of a people.
