When the french tell you to go and cook yourself an egg...

One of the beauty of the French language is definitely its profusion of quirky, funny, poetic expressions... and I know it does not always make sense when translated into English leaving often French culture/language lovers completely flabbergasted... but isn't it part of the charm of the journey afterall?! Oui, oui, bien entendu ! In this episode, I will dissect a popular french expression "aller se faire cuire un oeuf" which basically means to get lost but in a more visual way as it involves to cook yourself an egg.... funny isn't it? And as cooking is involved I will take you on a little trip to France and tell you the true story of Julia Child, an american woman, recognized for bringing French cuisine to the American's home kitchen in the 60's!
