In episode two of Unboxed, we dive deep into the power that labels hold and how labels feel when they come from ourselves, our communities, or people who don’t understand our experiences. We explore social media platforms’ relationship with labels and their user needs. An honest discussion about being called “whitewashed”- it being taken as a compliment or a criticism depending on who said it. And we share the positive and negative effects of generalizations made based on labels.
