Welcome to the fourth part of our first Sunday Preaching Series of the year. We are so grateful for what God has done, is still doing, and will do in our lives in the new year, 2025.
In today's service, our beloved preacher Pastor Alain Lelo makes us think deeply on our sub-theme: 'Walking with God on detoured paths', and as we read in Exodus 13:17-18, the Lord leads Isreal out of Egypt, choosing the longer route when there is a more direct one. The Lord knows of the Philistines strongholds on that way and chooses this path knowing Isreal would fear war and return to Egypt.
We are all blessed to learn and know that despite being God's children, there are pointless battles in life that we should avoid.
Verses to pray and meditate on: Exodus 13:17-18, 1 Samuel 9:1-6 2, Exodus 33:14, Joshua 7:1-5, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Jeremiah 18:2, 2 Samuel 2:1-4, and 1 Samuel 9:1-6.
