Former Utah Warriors assistant coach Shawn Pittman was thrown into the deep end in January, tasked with taking over as interim manager of Utah's professional rugby franchise following the sudden resignation of Australian Wallabies legend Chris Latham. No experience, no training, no warning.

Sink or swim in his first full-time head coaching job in Major League Rugby.

Pittman -- and the Warriors -- chose to swim, surging into the Top 4 of the 12-team league and qualifying for Utah's first playoff berth since the league's inaugural season of 2018. Now the full-time manager rather than a caretaker, Pittman reflected on the past nine months in charge, and what he wants of the club moving forward in this exclusive conversation with KSL.com.
