Oooo this was a fun one! Sam and Arden have a friendly “debate” (even though they argue a lot of the same points). It’s always good to offer multiple ways to look at things, especially when it comes to culture. After spending quite a bit of time in parts of the world where the culture is ancient and rich, Sam and Arden explore what makes the culture in the US different and their experiences with both a very traditional, southern American upbringing and one from an Italian-immigrant family. Please share any thoughts and comments- all are welcomed and appreciated!
Sam’s questions to Arden:
1. How would you define culture to someone and why does it matter?
2. What has this traveling experience made you consider regarding your own culture?
3. What do you feel are some of the most important parts of culture?
Arden's questions to Sam:
1. What culture has interested you the most? What aspects?
2. How many people do you think it takes to create a culture?
3. If you could change one thing about your/ our culture what would it be?
