Episode 25-0516: XANADU auditions & Pentacle’s summer acting class

(00:00) Intro and the KMUZ Theatre Talk calendar.

(12:20) There’s still time to audition for the musical XANADU at Gallery Theatre in McMinnville on Sunday, May 18 and Monday, May 19, with callbacks on May 20. Co-director Marla Nuttman talks about why more time slots were added on the signup page and how XANADU perfectly and lovingly parodies the 80s original film.

(26:44) Pentacle Theatre legend Jo Dodge has been teaching her popular Acting Class for more than 40 years. She tells Ed that whether you're an experienced actor or a curious beginner, she helps each student to grow as an artist and as a person. You can register now for the summer session that starts June 7 in downtown Salem.

(38:08) Wrap-up.

KMUZ Theatre Talk airs at 9 a.m. the first and third Fridays of the month at KMUZ 100.7 and 88.5 FM in the mid-Willamette Valley and on the KMUZ mobile app.
