The week, we had another car crash and lost part of the footage we had with this weeks artist, Justine Cappelle. We fixed it like everything else, and just re-recorded the first part.
With Justine, we talk about her upcoming movies which lean towards documentary but take an experimental step to achieve her goal of making invisible phenomena visible. While not outspokenly political or activistic, there are social topics that always peak up. Justine doesn't want to leave you with an opinion, but make you form your own through the process of discovering the world in a new way, to use eyes that see what wasn't there before.

For the start of this season of K.L.8. car crash, we have a talk with Mariaa Dergaceva. Mariia studies at the Moscow Institute of Art and Industry, and later studies architecture at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. Although working as an architecture, she uses her artistic practice as a way for its complete freedom to pull her technical drawings into a new dimension where they convey the emotions and spiritual essence of the spaces around her.

Florien Allemeersch is a Belgian artist, and graduate from KASK, Ghent. In her practice, she merges images from her own world with stories from others. We start to wonder: how far is fantasy and poetry from our own world?

Claudia’s work immediately captured their eyes by the campy and honest attitude that was clear in her photographic work.
