Several medical studies affirm working more than 40 hours per week often comes at the expense of these things.  Forced overtime at the Frito-Lay plant in Topeka, Kansas reached a boiling point recently. It led to hundreds of workers going on strike in protest of grueling overtime rules that saw many work 12-hour days for sometimes months on end. Some workers share their experiences with us. Most say the overtime policies left little time for much outside of work and forced many to forgo time with family and friends as a result.
