74 Alice Bag and Greg Velasquez - Retirees ( The Bags / L.A. Punk Scene )
n addition to being integral parts of the early Los Angeles punk rock scene, Alice and Greg also had successful careers - Alice as a school teacher and writer and Greg as a hospitality executive and photographer. But our area of focus in this episode is what happened when they decided to retire, and realized they didn’t have the money to do it in California. Not only did they decide to move to Mexico City, they also made the decision to document the process for all to see. We talk about the challenges, exciting developments, lifehacks learned from punk rock and how they’ve used social media to share it all.
