70 Ben Blackwell - Record Label Stooge / Music Archivist ( Dirtbombs )
You’ve pretty much got it made when part of your day job involves comparing the sound of different pressings of Stooges records, and we talk to Ben Blackwell about how he came to co-found Third Man Records with Jack White, become the official archivist for all of the music / ephemera of the White Stripes and help expand the label into record stores, a pressing plant and a global brand. We cover it all, from his teen years getting into music to his years playing with the Dirtbombs and his move to Nashville, starting a family and balancing the rock ‘n roll with more responsibility than you’d think.
