Moses convinced Pharaoh to release the Israelites from Egypt, Pharaoh agreed at first, then changed his mind and sent his army to bring them back. The troops had caught up with the Israelites, and they started complaining to Moses because they thought they were going to be attacked and killed. But God was present right at that moment. He had Moses hold up his stick to separate the sea so that the Israelites could walk through and be saved so you see there’s no need to worry because we have a clear example of how God will save us from our troubles.
