Putting self-care above that extra learning activity
Why is self-care super important when our kids are with us 24/7? Hi! I'm Jen, and I’d love to share with you how I try and stay in reasonably calm headspace (at least some of the time!) while homeschooling my kids and juggling work and keeping everyone alive.Although homeschooling is different to remote-learning - in that you as the parent are not responsible for setting curriculum and monitoring your child’s progress - there still remains the parenting challenges of being with your kids 24/7 and getting them to listen to you and do their work and finding time to get your own work done. I’m not an expert, I’m a parent who is learning and struggling along beside you, but I want to share what I can to encourage you during this season to keep loving yourself and your precious kids. If your situation is especially complex or challenging please seek professional advice. As my kids ages are 8, 6 and nearly 5 the focus is on surviving the lower-primary bracket.
