During the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, pilgrims can see various breathtaking vistas. The centerpiece is Mount Kailash, a sacred peak of 6,638 meters that is venerated as Lord Shiva's earthly dwelling. The calm Mansarovar Lake, noted for its crystal-clear waters, provides an opportunity for spiritual introspection. Pilgrims also visit the holy Gauri Kund, a sacred pond dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The hike around Mount Kailash (parikrama) offers amazing views of the surrounding landscapes, including the rough Tibetan plateau and stunning panoramas of snow-capped peaks.
Additional attractions include the mystical Tirthapuri hot springs and historic Buddhist monasteries such as the Shalu Monastery, which provide insight into the region's rich spiritual traditions.
