Mikä vivuttaisi suomalaista metsäsektoria kohti vahvaa kestävyyttä, 6. jakso Metsän rajalla -podcast
Osana ForTran-hanketta tutkijat kartoittavat Kaisa J. Raatikaisen johdolla järjestelmätason vipupisteitä, joihin kohdentuvat muutokset voivat ohjata suomalaista metsäsektoria ja metsien käyttöä kohti vahvaa kestävyyttä. Tässä jaksossa Kaisa avaa meneillään olevan tutkimuksen taustoja ja listaa neljä jo nyt merkittäväksi tunnistettua vipupistettä: arvot, valtasuhteet, tarina metsistä osana suomalaista hyvinvointia sotien jälkeen ja vallalla olevat metsähoitomenetelmät. Seuraavissa jaksoissa käsittelemme näitä teemoja syvällisemmin.
Metsän rajalla -podcastissa puhutaan suomalaisten metsien muutoksista, niiden hyödyntämisestä ja suojelusta, omistamisesta ja oikeuksista, sääntelystä ja ihmisten arvostuksista. Tuomme yhteen tutkijoiden ja käytännön toimijoiden ymmärryksen ajankohtaisista aiheista.
Podcastin taustalla on monitieteinen ForTran - metsäsektorin oikeudenmukainen kestävyyssiirtymä -tutkimushanke. Hankkeen tutkijat ovat ekologian, liiketalouden, antropologian, metsätieteiden ja ennakoinnin asiantuntijoita. Podcastin juontaa hankkeen vuorovaikutusvastaava Sini Suomalainen.
