The Mayor: Speeches made by Wellington Mayoral candidates on twinning with a Sister City in Palestine.

In this episode four Wellington City Mayoral candidates – Ellen Blake, Barbara McKenzie, Ray Chung and Tory Whanau – discuss their views on twinning Wellington with a Sister City in Palestine. They also comment on Mayor Andy Foster's decision not to mark Nakba Day in May of this year by lighting up the Michael Fowler Centre in the colours of the Palestinian flag.

The speeches were made before a screening of the award-winning documentary Mayor, about the Mayor of Ramallah city in the Occupied Territories of Palestine. The speeches were preceded by Neil Ballantyne (Justice for Palestine) giving a short talk on a survey of all Wellington Council Candidates. Samira Zaitoun (Co-Convenor, Justice for Palestine) chaired the event.
