Story Title: Lessons From the Butterfly
vídeo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc8rVDVWu_g
Once upon a time, a man found a cocoon of a butterfly. (era uma vez / casulo)
One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. (sentou / brigava / através)
Until it suddenly stopped making any progress and looked like it was stuck.. . (até / parecia que /preso)
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and cut the remaining part of the cocoon. (pegou / tesoura / cortou / restante)
The butterfly then emerged easily, although it had a swollen body and small wrinkled wings..(embora / inchado / enrrugada)
The man continued to watch the butterfly, expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge and expand enough to support the body. (a qualquer momento / aumentar / suficiente / sustentar)
But that didn’t happen. The butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around.
It was never able to fly. (gastou / rastejando)
Despite his kindness, the man did not understand one thing... (apesar de / bondade)
To prepare itself for flying, once it was out of the cocoon. (vôo / uma vez que)
Moral of the story: Our struggles in life develop our strengths. Without struggles, we never grow and never get stronger. (força / ficar mais forte)

Just Talking English News
Hello, this is the World News Podcast from Just Talking English, listen to the most important news, while learning and training English.
I'm Edward Jr and for today, these are our main stories.
CORONAVIRUS: Brazil has become the second country, after the US, to register more than 50.000 deaths from Covid-19 and 1 million people infected, a big tragedy for brazilians. Worldwide there are more than 9 million people infected and 450 000 deaths.
TENSION BETWEEN US AND CHINA BRINGS UNCERTAINTY IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY: This week, President Trump applied new sanctions against China and, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump said he believed China may have encouraged the spread of the virus as a way to destabilize global economies. China has denied all of these disrespectful accusations.
AFTER QUEIROZ'S ARREST, MORO GROWS IN POPULARITY WHILE BOLSONARO FALLS: Brazil's president, Jair Bolsonaro, has decreased in popularity after Queiroz's arrest, and sees his former justice minister, Serio Moro, rise in popularity. The former minister left the government in April and began to criticize Bolsonaro for his controversial decisions.
RETHINKING: POPE FRANCIS SAID THAT THIS CORONAVIRUS CRISIS IS AFFECTING ALL OF US, RICH AND POOR: He said “Every crisis contains both danger and opportunity. Today I believe we have to slow down our rate of production and consumption and to learn to understand and contemplate the natural world. We need to reconnect with our real surroundings. This is the opportunity for conversion”.
THERE MAY BE 36 OTHER INTELLIGENT CIVILIZATIONS IN OUR GALAXY: New studies by scientists have shown that our galaxy, Milky Way, may have 36 intelligent civilizations, waiting to be contacted. The problem would be the enormous distance between the stars.
And that was all for us for now, you can read the transcript of this podcast on the Just Talking English website. I'm Edward Jr, until next time, goodbye.
