On today's podcast we have a first for this season! We had the extreme pleasure our interviewing music composer, Joshua Carro. He has composed music/SFX for projects such as as the upcoming video game Borderlands 4 (Gearbox Software), the Original sound track for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Revenge (video game), re-scored music for Bridgerton, film trailer for 1917 and so much more. He has had years of experience writing music outside of genre — post-classical, electronic, ambient, noise — building a deep personal language before ever scoring to picture. Plus he has taught and collaborated across disciplines, including visual arts and performance, always focused on developing voice over style.
We get to hear about his journey into music composing, SFX creation and even dive into how he got the opportunity to be apart of the in-house composer at Gearbox Software for Borderlands 4. The amount of subjects we cover seems endless but I certainly know he will inspire you in some way...I know he inspired me during our interview. SO sit back and enjoy the wise words of Joshua Carro!
