We’ve forgotten how to be friends. How to be brothers and sisters. How to be known. Since COVID, we’ve learned to keep our distance, to protect ourselves, to stay “safe.” But safety isn’t the same as love. And without love, community collapses. In this message, Pastor Taylor teaches from John 13:33–35, where Jesus gives a “new” command: “Love one another as I have loved you.” This kind of love moves toward people, bears burdens, forgives again, and shows up when it’s hard. It’s costly. It’s unconditional. And it’s the only way isolation ends. If you’ve felt distant, lonely, or forgotten, this message will help you take your first step back into belonging. Because when love unravels, Jesus weaves us back together.A sermon from Joy Church in Shirley, NYSermon Title: Unraveled Into IsolationSeries: The UnravelingText: John 13:33-35Speaker: Taylor DrenzykSermon Date: 10/19/2025If this message encouraged you, subscribe for more sermons and resources from Joy Church.
