JT Episode 5: minority representation
This episode focuses on the representation of sexual identities along with ethnic and religious minorities in the journalism industry today. It will explore the relationship between representation within the industry and representation in the output from the industry to assess whether the two variables can influence a positive portrayal of minorities, such as the LGBT, ethnic and religious communities. We will be joined by Adam Smith (social engagement coordinator at The Economist), Shaf Choudry and Sadia Habib (founders of TheRizTest) and the editorial team of Journalism Today.
