Abi Fernandini- Welcome to the Journal the Body Podcast, where I encourage you to tune into your body and out what the mainstream has to say about total health and well-being.

If you start listening to this podcast, you might experience the feeling of "unlearning" much of what you have been taught, and that can be a liberating yet scary feeling.

Many of my philosophies and practices reside in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I believe these "alternative" practices are actually the original practices for mind-body health way before the western healthcare model redefined this standard.

This concept of "Journaling the Body" started back in 2019 when I move out to California while battling a chronic illness. I shut out all the opinions of my doctors at the time, stopped the medications I was given, and made a pact to truly listen to what my body was telling me. I truly journaled my body, both physical and emotional.

So today I present you with the final product of an idea brewing for 3 years. I hope you come along with me to unlearn ;)

If You Don't Know Where to Start in Your Health Journey / Start Here
Health has become so overcomplicated, that when someone says they want to get healthy, there's a MILLION different ways to interpret it.

Even moreso, that person is so overwhelmed by the amount of information they are recieving that they really don't know where to start. So in this episode I sit down and evaluate the basics that I wish I would have started with when I went on my health journey:
  1. Food
  2. Water
  3. Exercise
  4. Sleep
  5. Environment
When you take a good look internally at these different categories for yourself, you can make huge shifts in your health before spending hundreds of dollars on supplements, cleanses, and functional doctors.
