Any inaction, leniency or no punishment for a crime leads to a spread of chaotic situations. Only honourable courts are empowered to pronounce the punishment. Jailor is expected to implement it.

If someone abuses, insults or we don't like what someone is doing. Everything that is happening is a form of punishment. Punishment is not without guilt.

That is why the court, in the form of karma satta, punishes us for the crime we have committed in our previous births.

Jailer is the one to punish us in the form of abuse and hence if we do not want to prolong our punishment we stop abusing back to the jailer.
