This podcast is an invitation to a personal diary, interviews and conversations about living in the United States. As an international student, I choose the stories that changed my perception mostly about a host country I've resided from July 2018 as a Fulbright graduate student. I will try to convince you that time never cures the wounds of cultural shock. It's always there to make you constantly look for an answer to the following questions: Who are you? What are your values? Do you really want to give up them?

Volunteering in the USA

Why Volunteering? Because:

๐ŸŒ It makes you a better person

๐ŸŒIt brings you to the problem-solving table

๐ŸŒIt helps your career

๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผ In this episode, I hosted Fatim Ibrahima Yaro, a Fulbright graduate student at the University of Southern Indiana. Originally from Burkina Faso (West Africa), he is a volunteering coordinator at the USI's international office. Fatin and I, we both arrived in Evansville for our studies on the same day. We sat down and discussed what's the portion of volunteering impact on international student life and what local communities gain out of accepting the help from international people. There are many other useful points about volunteering.
