Music Saves: Coping through Creating (for anyone!)

It’s Okay Not to be Okay Episode 12 with edm producer/dj transiiient.nature

Come learn how edm producer/dj transiiient.nature and singer/voice teacher Katie Henry have stayed sane during the pandemic using music as a coping tool, and learn skills and confidence to take with you to explore music creation, even if you have never tried it but are curious. Neither artist started out with a long history of formal musical training - both just have a passion for music and have found music to be a light during some of their darkest moments.

transiiient.nature will share how creating his debut electronic music EP "Searching for Something" helped him manage his depression, anxiety, overwhelm and loneliness while being extremely isolated during the pandemic. Katie will share her creation of Wild Women Voices during the pandemic and how singing has been a major healing tool in her life.

about transiiient.nature: @transiiient.nature is a house music dj and edm producer who spent 8 years living in Portland before relocating to his hometown in Pennsylvania to care for his terminally ill mom during the pandemic. He has been a lifelong lover of electronic music and rave culture and recently debuted his EP titled "Searching for Something" that spans the genres of trip hop to techno to experimental, chillout, drum and bass and beyond. You can read more about him and the EP on his website and please feel free to connect on IG!

about Katie Henry: Katie Henry is a voice teacher, singer, and founder of Wild Women Voices, an organization that encourages women to sing and reconnect with their authentic voice. You can find more about her at wildwomenvoices.com - instagram/tiktok @wildwomenvoices

(please note that although Katie's organization works solely with female-identified folks, her presentation is open to anyone)
