It’s Okay Not to be Okay Episode 7: Maurice Cowley

Maurice C - Local Portland Writer/Poet

// I'm a Portland-native Black writer of poetry and prose. I recently published my first book of poetry. My favorite thing about writing is its ability to help me (and others) process all the swirling chaos of the world around and inside of me. I've worked with young people as a coach, mentor, and pastor for the past 20 years and I love sharing my life with youth. Besides writing I love sports, Portland, my family, theater, reading, movies and television, art, baking, and tattoos.
