And this would probably be exacerbated by finding out you were HIV positive, but not for this episode's star. Stephen is a remarkable man who strongly demonstrates that even when life throws you curve-ball after curve-ball, there are ways to handle these obstacles and obstructions.

Stephen still lives in this same small city, but has successfully navigated accepting his sexuality as a gay man, and embraced a life-style in which he is able to safely maintain active and productive careers and friendships.
