In the second installment of Just One Hit, we are exploring the Benny Mardones 80s adult contemporary hit, Into The Night. Initially released in 1980 to much controversy due to its opening lines about courting a minor, (She's Just sixteen years old, leave her alone), this one hit wonder has the distinction of not only being a hit once, hitting the #11 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1980, but twice in the same decade, thanks in part to a resurgence in popularity in 1989 (#20 Billboard Hot 100). Is there more to the man than just the controversy or does the song's infamy outlive its performer?
