It's Deadly in the Box

Society and its members are always trying to squeeze us into a box, based on our age, gender, race, religion, vices and addictions, education level, political party, zodiac sign, hair color, sexual preference, trauma, the list goes on and on. Perhaps life was created this way intentionally, and like a game, we must work together to break out of our boxes in order to beat each level in the game. I find myself constantly falling for the mentality that I have to act or think or speak or look a certain way based on whatever box I'm finding myself in so I've created this podcast to constantly push myself to break out of the box and hopefully be able to help others do the same, because from my experience thus far, IT'S DEADLY IN THE BOX. Join me as I navigate the waters of overcoming the demons that keep me in the box through sharing on this platform and speaking with guests who share their own stories of overcoming. Everyone has a story, and that in itself is an extremely powerful weapon we can use to fight against the darkness. Let's raise our voices and share our stories, learn from each other, encourage one another, to overcome these little devils, send them back to hell, and level-up in life.

Overcoming: Poverty

Overcoming: Poverty

Welcome to my first interview!

Today, I have the special opportunity to interview Dr. Maxwell E. Uduafemhe. Without giving too much of it away, his story is about growing up in Nigeria and overcoming poverty by changing the narrative of his family history by catching and selling edible frogs to pay for his education to then grow up to receive three degrees as well as a PhD in Industrial and Technology Education.

The questions he answers in this episode are:
1. What obstacle did you go face getting to where you are today?
2. How did you cope/deal with the pain that came with the obstacle?
3. How did you learn or where did you get the strength to overcome that obstacle/adversity?4. What message do you have to my listeners that pertains to your story of overcoming?
5. Where can my listeners get in touch with you or learn more about you?

I hope his story inspires and encourages you to swallow your excuses and just go for that thing you've been wanting to go for your whole life.

Thank you for listening, have a wonderful, blessed day :)

Sincerely,
Tiffany Yi
