Key: SING/S – singular, PL – plural, M – masculine, F – feminine, INF - informal. 

Essere - To be

Io sono - I am 

Tu sei - You are SING

Lui, lei è - He, she is (‘e’ without accent is ‘and’)

Noi siamo - We are

Voi siete - You are PL

Loro sono - They are

Io sono Georgia.  - I'm Georgia.  (Emphasising that I am Georgia, as perhaps the person I'm talking to had me confused with someone else)

Sono stanco. - I'm tired. MS

Sono stanca. – I’m tired. FS

-o ending is masculine singular MS 

-a ending is feminine singular FS 

-i ending is masculine plural MPL 

-e ending is feminine plural FPL  

Giovanni è stanco – Giovanni is tired. MS

Sei Australiano? - Are you Australian? MS

No, non sono Australiano. - No, I'm not Australian. MS

Sei Italiana? - Are you Italian? FS

Sì, sono Italiana. - Yes, I'm Italian. FS

Mario è al lavoro. – Mario is at work.

Siamo qui. - We're here.

Siete già qui? - Are you already here? PL 

Mario e Giovanni sono fortunati. – Mario and Giovanni are lucky. MPL

Mario e Maria sono fortunati. - Mario and Maria are lucky. MPL

Giulia e Chiara sono fortunate. – Giulia and Chiara are lucky. FPL

Viaggiare - to travel

Ti piace viaggiare? - Do you like to travel? INF

Sì, mi piace viaggiare. - Yes, I like to travel.  

Voglio viaggiare intorno al mondo! - I want to travel around the world!

Dove ti piacerebbe viaggiare per prima? - Where would you like to travel to first? INF

Voglio viaggiare in Italia. - I want to travel through Italy.
