In this episode, we meet Dr. Danielle Kamis and discuss overtraining syndrome, gender specifics topics and her role in the International Society of Sports Psychiatry.

Dr. Danielle Kamis is a former collegiate fencer, who was a four-time NCAA championship qualifier, All American, and captain at the University of Pennsylvania

She  completed her residency at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of Medicine where she is now an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor. She is now a board member with the ISSP, leading the communications division. And she co-edited the first book of its kind, the Manual of Sports Psychiatry.
